Lukas Bushy is being honored this week as part of our Student Recognition Program. He is an accomplished student who has demonstrated a strong commitment to academics, leadership, athletics, and service throughout his high school career. Lukas is a member of the Spanish Honor Society, Math Honor Society, and Art Honor Society, reflecting his achievements across a wide range of academic disciplines.
Beyond the classroom, Lukas has distinguished himself as both an athlete and leader. He competes in Cross Country as well as Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field, serving as Captain of all three teams. His athletic accomplishments include a Cape and Islands League Honorable Mention, four Coaches Awards in Cross Country and Track, and recognition for the leadership and dedication he brings to his teams.
Leadership has been a defining part of Lukas’s high school experience. He has served as Class President for all four years, representing his classmates and taking an active role in the school community. He is also a member of Hope Squad and the Give It Back Club and serves on the Superintendent’s Advisory Council. In addition, Lukas has worked with Mr. St. Julien on diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives within the Falmouth Public Schools.
Lukas’s commitment to service extends beyond his school. As a Project 351 Ambassador and Regional Service Leader, he has taken an active role in community service and helping inspire other young people to make a difference. His involvement reflects a consistent willingness to step forward, represent others, and contribute positively to both his school and the greater community.
