Who we areOur membership comprises of men and women who are local business and community leaders, scientists, artists, entrepreneurs and retirees. They are committed to their community as well as to the goals that unite Rotarians all around the globe: to provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world. Club Officers & Directors 2007-2008:
What we doThrough events like their annual Arts & Crafts Fair and individual donations, Falmouth Rotarians raise funds for a scholarship program for Falmouth area high school students. The club also raised funds and donations to support, among others, the "Volunteers in Public Schools" (VIPS) program and a new science library at East Falmouth Elementary School, and Spohr Gardens. In addition to thousands of volunteer hours in their local communities Rotarians contribute millions of dollars in humanitarian aid and relief around the globe. Rotary funds 1,200 international and thousands of local scholarships – like in Falmouth - and provides cross-cultural exchanges for more than 7,000 young leaders. Through its flagship program PolioPlus, Rotary has contributed more than $600 million to the Global Polio Eradication Initiative.
