Mike Early, Admissions Director, joined us again to introduce the incoming officers of the Student Council.  A truly inspiring group of young leaders...

Here's what Mike had to say about the FA Seniors who joined us on August 16:

Justin Waller is an active member of the Falmouth Academy and Cape Cod Communities. Besides being elected Student Council president, he has acted as its treasurer, been a big sibling to younger students, starred in FA plays, been a member of the school's ROV team (designing and building Remotely Operated Vehicles), and played soccer. He made the Headmaster's List as a sophomore and is a member of the Honor Society. This coming year he will help teach a senior-taught elective on strategic games. James works as a camp counselor at the MBL summer camp for 3 to 6 year olds. He also has volunteered for the Cape Cod Marathon for the last three years.

Dan Eder will serve as the Student Council vice president. A member of Honor Society, a regular on the Headmaster's List, and a past Student Council officer, Dan has also won an English award, a German award, the Harvard Book Award, and the Coach's award for basketball.  He is a three sport varsity athlete, member of the ROV team, lacrosse co-captain, a successful Science Fair participant, and a poet. Dan participates in the Big Sibling and Peer Mediator programs. Outside of school Dan sings in a band and has volunteered for Habitat for Humanity and the Cape Cod Marathon.  He's a lab assistant at MBL and a counselor at the FA camps during the summer.

Brittany Feldott was elected as the Student Council secretary and served on the Council previously as a class president.  A member of Honor Society and a regular on the Headmaster's List, she also has won Science Fair awards and a soccer award.  She acts as a Big Sibling and Peer Mediator.  An avid writer, Brittany also finds time to volunteer at Mullen Hall, teach Sunday school, and work at Falmouth Stamp and Coin.  Brittany loves to Contra Dance.

Kyle Benton will fill the position of treasurer.  Kyle is new to Student Council but has been a leader around the school in other ways.  He has volunteered for many years in the Big Sibling program and hopes to join the Peer Mediators as a senior.  He plays lacrosse and soccer and is very interested in science.  Outside of school he is just as busy, teaching a science class to 3rd and 4th graders, working at Ace Hardware and Subway, and as an active member of his church.  Kyle helps teach Sunday school and runs a cafe at the youth group.
