Thank you for visiting the Falmouth Rotary Club Donation page. The Falmouth Rotary Club funds many programs and projects throughout the course of the year. Below you can donate and help us assist more people both in our local community and internationally. We appreciate any contribution you make and your contribution will go towards the fund you select.
Explanation of Categories to Donate to:
Scholarships- This program helps us fund our $2000 College Junior Year Scholarship. It also helps support the Falmouth High School scholarship and Upper Cape Scholarship that we award each year.
Goodworks- This program helps us fund local projects (ex: Falmouth Hospital Helicopter Landing Pad, Hands Across the Border, Walk for Water, Nobska Lighthouse Painting, etc) as well as the local charities that the Rotary Club donates to each year (ex: VIPS, Falmouth Service Center, Falmouth Quarterback Club, etc)
Bryan Laughead RYLA Scholarship- In memory of Rotarian Bryan Laughead, each year the Falmouth Rotary Club sends students to the annual RYLA conference. These are local students from Falmouth who wish to participate in a leadership program coordinated by Rotary Clubs around the globe. Each year, thousands of young people participate in this program. Young people ages 13–30 are sponsored by Rotary Clubs to attend the event run by the club's district committee. Participants are chosen for their leadership potential.
Shelterbox- For several years now the Falmouth Rotary Club has raised funds from within the club and community to help communities in need worldwide. When disaster struck in Haiti, the Falmouth Rotary Club raised over $10,000 which enables the club to purchase 10 Shelterboxes to send to the ravaged community. Each ShelterBox contains a tent that sleeps 10 people, thermal blankets and groundsheets, water storage and purification equipment, solar lamps, cooking utensils, a tool kit, mosquito nets and children's pack. ShelterBoxes are often customized to best suit recipients and the box itself can be used for a variety of things. Falmouth Rotary Club again took up this challenge when disaster struck in Nepal and we hope to continue to do so in the future as events occur.
Polio Plus- One of the main goals of Rotary Clubs worldwide is to eradicate polio across the globe. Rotary International has reduced polio cases by 99.9 percent worldwide since our first project to vaccinate children in the Philippines in 1979. We are close to eradicating polio, but we need your help.
Again we appreciate your contribution on any level to help us in our mission of service above self. the Falmouth Rotary Club is committed to service and helping to make a difference both locally and internationally. Thank You!
